Just a little update to let everyone know what is going on.
Ticket sales: Money has been turned in for 429 tickets and probably 440-450 have been sold. There has been a table set up at Riverside the last 2 Saturdays and 15 tickets have been sold each time. There is a possibility that there could be a table set up on Saturday at Ace Hardware. The press coverage has been good and after people have read about the project in the paper, some have called and wanted tickets.
Next meeting: Will be Tuesday, July 8 at 6:30pm in Floyd's classroom. This is a change from the previously scheduled Wednesday.
Construction update: If you all ready don't know, Genesee Cement donated $8,000 worth of decorative block for the building. The architect finished the plans but after looking at them at the last meeting it was decided that there needed to be a few changes. So now, we are waiting for the changes to be done. Then we can schedule a meeting with all the construction oriented people so we can get started. Terry Goul has offered to dig the fittings for the building donating his time and we will just have to pay for the cement. How nice of Terry. He is always so nice to help out in the community.
I will try and keep the blog updated after the meetings and also add a link for pictures when the construction gets started.
Ben, Donna, Stef and Scott have put a lot of work into this project and I know they would love to thank everyone for all of their help and support.
It shouldn't be too much longer to see their dream become a reality.
